The only constant is change

I went to buy groceries today
The ambulance had come for an old women
just on her way in.
Or just on her way out.
I think it was the spirit of my grocery store.
Aged and feeble, telling the paramedics her condition,
not quite with the last breath.
But the exit door is waiting.

They’re closing down my grocery store. It won’t be until about easter, so I may get a little time of being able to walk down and pick up my fruits and vegetables yet this year. After that, it’s either the car, a long walk, or finding a passable bike route.
